Sue Bateman is a new member of the UM-St. Louis staff joining as an Academic Advisor in Continuing Education and Outreach in July of 2007.& Prior to her career at the University, Sue worked for many years in the Social Work field supporting individuals with special needs.& Sue is a graduate of UM-St. Louis earning her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1986 and certification in Secondary Education in 1990. As an undergraduate, Sue completed the Pierre Laclede honors program which has since grown into the Pierre Laclede Honors College. As an alumnus and life long resident of Florissant, Sue is happy to see UMSL grow and blossom into such an integral part of the St. Louis area.
Sue’s primary responsibility is to provide academic support and advisement to the students in the Outreach degree programs at Mineral Area College, Jefferson College and St. Louis Community College’s South County Education and University Center. She also provides advising to community college students who are interested in transferring to the main campus.
In her spare time, Sue likes to travel, participate in trivia contests and spend time with family and friends.
