PROPOSAL PREPARATION: EXTERNAL AWARDSThe ORA can provide assistance and guidance at every stage of the application process and offers the following services:
- Notification of funding opportunities and sponsor policies and procedures.
- Technical assistance in proposal preparation and review, budget development, and proposal submission to sponsoring agencies.
- Initiation of contact with program officers of the proposed sponsor. Negotiation of terms for awards and contracts.
- Receipt of awards and establishment of accounts.
- Assistance with the post-award administrative functions: re-budgeting, time extensions, and tracking of technical reports.
In addition, the ORA web site provides funding information, forms, guidelines, and links to other sites with grant information, including customized electronic grant databases searches.
