The ORA's technology transfer staff is here to help you with mobile apps that you develop for sale. Any mobile apps that are created by UMSL employees should be submitted via invention disclosure form to the technology transfer office for testing and uploading. Revenues will be handled under the UM copyright policy.

Maker of New Social Media App Joins UMSL’s ITE Incubator

The maker of a new social media app recently moved his business into Innovative Technology Enterprises, an incubator for startup companies at the University of Missouri–St. Louis.

The Qurate (pronounced ‘curate’) app allows a person to use one app to communicate with their closest connections. The patent-pending process would create a single conversation feed for each friendship across different communication mediums. > Read More

Lobbying Disclosure Requirements

To ensure that the university is compliant with the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 2007, it is important that faculty and staff adhere to policies outlined at www.umsystem.edu/ums/gr/disclosure.

UMSL employees must report expenses incurred in the process of lobbying to Tony Accurso (ext. 5859) either at the time of travel expense report submission or no later than the end of the quarter during which the expenses were incurred.

TITLE: Dissertation Proposal Development Fellowship (DPDF) Faculty Field Competition

SPONSOR: Social Science Research Council (SSRC)

The Fellowship competition is open to humanities and social sciences faculty interested in creating or reinvigorating interdisciplinary fields of study through the training of the next generation of researchers.

Applicants must apply in pairs based at different universities. Both applicants must have records of carrying out research activities and mentoring graduate students. Applicants must be trained in different disciplines or bring different methodological frameworks to their proposed research field. Applicant pairs of scholars in the social sciences and humanities are particularly encouraged.
