Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation
Students, employees, visitors, or applicants for employment who believe that they have been subjected to discrimination, sexual harassment, or that they have been denied reasonable accommodation for qualified disabilities are encouraged to report the matter to the Title IX Coordinator. The Title IX Online Incident Report can be used for any incident of discrimination, such as discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation,gender identity, gender expression, national origin, ancestry, age, genetic information, disability, or status as a Vietnam era veteran, as well as for incidents of sexual harassment and/or sexual assault.
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
UMSL is committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for qualified persons with disabilities. To receive an accommodation under the ADA, employees and applicants must file an application with the campus human resources office. The Reasonable Accommodation Request (PDF 86KB) and Documentation form is available for this purpose. Employees are permitted to make the request on university time, but they must first request release time from their supervisor. Employees may wish to contact the Office of Diversity and Inclusion for assistance in filling out the form or to discuss concerns.
Students may request accommodations through the Office of Disability Access Services.
