This tutorial was created as an introduction to the basic search features of an earlier version of the Ovid Web interface.

The Ovid Web interface is used by a wide variety of outstanding library databases in such fields as Business, Engineering, Humanities, Medicine, Psychology, Sociology and more. To a large degree, if one knows how to search in one Ovid database one can easily search in all of them.

The Ovid Web interface has undergone enormous changes since this tutorial was created. Even so, there is much in the tutorial that is still applicable to anyone who uses a contemporary Ovid database. Also, the tutorial's information literacy concepts are applicable to other library resources, while the tutorial itself serves as an example of interactive, Web-based instruction.

As always, please consult a REFERENCE LIBRARIAN should you need any help with your information needs.
