As you have learned, UMSL library databases contain many full-text journal artices, often in PDF format.
It is possible that a full-text article that is not available in one database may be available in a different database. You will click the icon to see if the article is in a different database. However, you should be aware of some things first. What follows are examples of result screens you may see. |
Click the ArticleLinker icon to continue. |
Great! When you click the ArticleLinker icon, you will see a pop-up screen similar to what you see here. |
If you were to click the Full Text Online link, you would be led to the full text of the article, often as a PDF. |
For now, just click the link for Full-Text Online to continue. |
Great! Here we are presented with a different pop-up screen for a completely different article. |
Notice that the article is available in two separate databases; access to the article has been doubled. |
Click on both of the Full Text Online links to continue. |
Great! The new article above is available in FOUR different databases. Clicking any of the Full Text Online links will take you to the article as it appears in any of these databases. |
Click on EVERY Full Text Online link to continue. |
What you have seen so far are examples of what happens when articles are available in other databases to which the UMSL Libraries subscribe.
However, sometimes articles are not available online, and tries to take care of those situations, also. You will learn about these other situtations in other modules. Module finished! |
