| Research Consultations - UMSL Faculty, Staff, or Students ONLY |
The Research Consultation Program allows you to receive individualized assistance from a Reference Librarian to complete a research project or assignment. In a Research Consultation, the Reference Librarian will help you develop a research strategy and recommend both print and electronic resources that are appropriate for your research needs. In addition, the Reference Librarian will recommend search terms and resources that will be helpful when completing your research. Please fill out the Request Form with as much detail as possible to schedule a Research Consultation. You can choose to have your Research Consultation completed in-person or via email. Please note, however, that for some topics email is not the best mechanism for receiving research assistance. |
When you select the Email Only option on the request form we will prepare your consultation and email you the results. We will normally do this within one to two working days, but some topics may be too complex for preparation via email. In such cases you may be directed to come to the library for in-person assistance with a librarian. Delays may also occur if we need to contact you for clarification. |
