The Thomas Jefferson and Ward E. Barnes Libraries maintain course
reserve collections to support instructional requirements. The reserve
collections consist of library materials, articles, and instructors’
books, syllabi, and lecture notes. Faculty request these materials be
placed on reserve.
Patrons may only have two reserve materials checked out at any given time. The loan periods for reserve materials are:
- 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, or 2 hours - Materials under these loan periods can leave the library
- 2 hours, Library Use Only - Materials under this loan period
cannot leave the library. The patron’s ID card will be kept at the
circulation desk during check out
The library will make items available as soon as possible, however
please allow 24 to 48 hours for items to be placed on reserve.
Additional charges will be assessed for overdue materials.
The Libraries observe copyright law when placing materials on
reserve. Detailed information is available on this web site under
Copyright Law & TEACH Act.
