About the Libraries (for Distance Education Students)

The Libraries of the University of Missouri-St. Louis offer a wide variety of resources for ANY faculty, staff, or student without having to come to the library in person. This includes over 150 databases, thousands of full-text journals, and access to the holdings of the libraries of the MOBIUS consortium. If a journal isn't available, you can request that selected articles be mailed to your current residence, or have articles delivered to you electronically. You can request a book from any MOBIUS consortium library and have it delivered to the nearest MOBIUS Library to you. Choose this link to learn more about Getting Books and Articles.

We also offer "ready reference" help by telephone at (314) 516-5060; librarians can answer reference questions by email, and can even do lengthier Research Consultations on a specific topic also by email. Internationally recognized tutorials are available to teach you how to search some of the most heavily used databases, how to use the Library Catalog, and how to understand the Library Home Page itself.. Choose this link for more information about Remote Assistance from a Librarian.

If you need to come to the Libraries, make sure we're open by checking our online schedule of hours. The main Library telephone number is (314) 516-5060. You can choose to listen to the latest library hours, talk to the Circulation Desk about due dates, etc., or talk to a Reference Librarian during open hours. How to get here?
