In its third season of play in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the '68-'69 Rivermen basketball team finished with a 19-7 record and finished 12th in NAIA nationwide scoring with 95.8 points per game. The Rivermen won their District championship and went on to the National Tournament where they were defeated in the first round by High Point College of North Carolina.
