STUDENT LIFE
Normandy School District purchased the UM-St. Louis campus from the Bellerive Country Club in 1957. In the Fall of 1960, 215 freshmen, 4  faculty, and one administrator began the inaugural semester at the University of Missouri Normandy Residence Center, a two year junior college. By 1963, with enrollments exceeding all expectations, the Normandy Residence Center became the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
The Clubhouse of Bellerive Country Club became the UM-St. Louis Administration Building and contained classrooms and the library, 1960.
