The UMSL campus has two MetroLink stations; one is on North Campus, the UMSL North station.

Campus Shuttle Services

The closest shuttle stop to the Thomas Jefferson Library building (bldg. 14) is the "Main Circle"; the shuttle also stops near the "UMSL North MetroLink station".

Driving Directions to the North Campus of University of Missouri - St. Louis

From the West on I-70:

Exit onto N - Florissant Road/University Blvd. (Exit 240)
Bear right onto N South Only, curving right at the Yield sign

For Monday through Friday library visitor parking:

Continue on N South (Florissant Road) for approximately ½ mile (past the first University entrance stop light)
Turn right onto Bellerive Drive
Proceed up the hill; the Drive curves left at the top of the hill (you are now on East Drive)
Continue on East Drive to Parking Lot B
Parking Lot B, on the right, has limited metered visitor parking
(Parking Lot A, on the left, has an extremely limited number of visitor parking spaces)

For Saturday and Sunday library visitor parking:

At the first stop light, turn right (down the short hill)
At the stop sign at the bottom of the hill, turn left
At the blinking stop light, turn right onto Mark Twain Drive and proceed up the hill
Near the top of the hill, at the intersection of Mark Twain and West Drives, turn right onto West Drive
Follow West Drive toward Natural Bridge Road
West Drive Parking Structure South will be on your left; see parking information on this page

From the East on I-70:

Exit onto N - Florissant Road/University Blvd. - N. Hanley Road (Exit 240)
Stay in the left lane
Take N - Florissant Road/University Blvd. (stay in the far left lane)
Bear left onto N South Only
Turn left at the stop lighted intersection on the left turn signal, onto N South (Florissant Road)

For Monday through Friday library visitor parking:

Continue on N South (Florissant Road) for approximately ½ mile (past the first University entrance stop light)
Turn right onto Bellerive Drive
Proceed up the hill; the Drive curves left at the top of the hill (you are now on East Drive)
Continue on East Drive to Parking Lot B
Parking Lot B, on the right, has limited metered visitor parking
(Parking Lot A, on the left, has an extremely limited number of visitor parking spaces)

For Saturday and Sunday library visitor parking:

At the next stop light, turn right (down the short hill).

Exit at I-170/Brentwood Blvd. (Exit 31)
Bear left on the exit ramp for I-170/Brentwood Blvd. North
Turn left onto northbound Brentwood at the stop light at the bottom of the ramp
Go approximately three blocks until you come to Galleria Parkway
Turn right at the Galleria Parkway stop light
Go left onto northbound I-170
Exit onto Natural Bridge Road (Exit 6)
Turn right onto eastbound Natural Bridge Road
Continue past the intersection with Hanley Road (a stop light)

For Monday through Friday library visitor parking:

Continue eastbound on Natural Bridge Road
Turn left onto University Drive (the 2nd stop light east of Hanley Road)
Bear right onto East Drive

On Monday through Friday, visitors may only park in areas designated for their use; some are metered spaces, such as parking lot B.

On Saturday and Sunday, visitors may park anywhere on campus except Handicap spaces, Service Vehicle spaces or non-designated areas. On weekends, visitors can park close to the Thomas Jefferson Library (bldg. 14) in the West Drive Parking Structure South (bldg. 52); walk out of the garage at the third floor (quadrangle level) exit near the elevator and the Library (bldg. 14) is the building to the right of the pyramid-shaped skylight (no. 12). Handicap Parking

Handicap Parking for the Thomas Jefferson Library (bldg. 14) is available on the third floor (quadrangle level) of the West Drive Parking Structure South (bldg. 52); come out of the garage at the third floor (quadrangle level) exit near the elevator and the Library (bldg. 14) is the building to the right of the pyramid-shaped skylight (no. 12). Handicap parking is also available on the entrance level (level one); this garage has an elevator.
