Library Information Assistant (Job Opening ID: 10602)

20 hours/week, beginning Aug. 5, 2013
$11.01/Hour
This position reports to the University Libraries Reference Management Team
Duties may include:
- Serving on the Reference desk, mainly evenings and weekends at Thomas Jefferson and Barnes Libraries
- Assisting with the Library Instruction Program, under the direction of the Library Instruction Coordinator
- Assisting with collection development projects
- Assisting reference staff with projects
- Other library duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Recent library science graduate or currently enrolled as a graduate student in an ALA accredited Library and Information Science program and, must have successfully completed a Reference Services course
- Dependable, mature, flexible, good oral/written communication skills
- Service oriented
- Familiarity with academic databases preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
