Transcripts must be sent for all high schools or universities attended and contain grades for each year of study. Proof of graduation and official English translations must be included as well.
A transcript is official when it has been received in a sealed envelope that has been stamped by the issuing authority. Certified copies or documents issued to a student are not considered official.
Please note that all items submitted become the property of UMSL. Documents submitted with an application cannot be returned to the student.
It is NOT necessary to submit private evaluations of foreign transcripts as long as official English translations are provided. If an applicant cannot obtain official transcripts in English, however, ISS will accept a "course-by-course" report from World Education Services (WES) http://www.wes.org.
Students wishing to transfer coursework to UMSL should include course descriptions for each class at the foreign university. While course descriptions are not necessary for admission purposes, they are required before transfer credit can be awarded. Please also note that credit cannot be evaluated until a student has been accepted to the University.
