Orientation is an important part of getting a good start at UM-St. Louis. During the orientation program you’ll…
- Find out about UM-St. Louis campus life.
- Go on a campus and library tour.
- Learn how to access technology services available to students.
- Take time to socialize and meet other UM-St. Louis students.
- Discover events, places, and activities to do in St. Louis.
- Meet the International Student and Scholar Services staff.
- Ask questions, and get answers.
- Meet with academic advising and register for courses.
- Test your level of English proficiency.
- Decide if the images of American college life portrayed in movies are myth or reality.
- Learn information about student organizations and how to join their activities.
We’ll go over important information that you’ll need to successfully integrate into campus life. You’ll have the opportunity to become familiar with campus and with the city before classes begin.
Registration & Check-in
On Monday, August 11, 2008 come to the Millennium Student Center for new student check-in and orientation registration. You will need to bring your passport, I-94 card and I-20 or DS-2019. You will also be able to pick up your orientation packet during registration.
Orientation sessions begin on Tuesday, August 12th at 9:00 a.m. in the Millennium Student Center. If you cannot come for check-in and registration, please bring your documents on the first day of orientation.
Arrival information
We will be picking up students from the airport August 7-8, 2008. If you would like us to pick you up from the airport, be sure to request a pickup.
