Educational Assistance (HR-303)

Summary
Seventy-five percent of the educational fee is waived for any eligible employee registering for not more than six (6) credit hours of University of Missouri college level credit courses per semester (three (3) credit hours in the summer session). Activity fees, books, and other expenses are the responsibility of the participating employee.

Procedure
Eligible employees must file the Educational Assistance Program Questionnaire and Authorization Form (UMUW Form 84-1). Applications from Administrative, Service & Support employees must be approved by the department head prior to final approval. Applications from Academic employees must be approved by the department head and/or the dean prior to final approval.   Nancy Draper in Human Resource must approve all applications for enrollment in this program.

Educational Fee Reduction for Spouses and Dependents (HR-309)

Summary
A fifty percent reduction of educational fees will be available for an eligible spouse or an eligible dependent child of eligible employees for up to 140 hours of University of Missouri college credit courses per spouse or dependent child. For all courses (undergraduate, graduate or professional), the rate of such fee reduction shall be based on the educational fee charged to a resident student for undergraduate courses. Under no circumstance will the reduction exceed fifty percent per student.

Procedure
Eligible employees must submit the authorization for Educational Fee Reduction for Spouses and Dependents (UMUW form UM 85) and any requested documentation of eligibility to their campus HR offices. Joann Westbrook in Human Resource must approve all applications for enrollment in this program.
