Outstanding
English Education Graduates
MATE honors the most outstanding graduates of the state's
English education programs each year with its Robert J. Greef
Award. Greef was a revered professor of English education at
Central Missouri State, and the award is given in his name. The
awardees are chosen by their colleges. This year's recipients

Maridella Carter is the MATE Board member who oversees
the gathering and granting of the Greef Awards, and we're grateful
for this fine service that she provides the organization and
the students.
