The folks at Gateway Writing Project love to write, and we know you do too! That’s why we partner with Camp NaNoWriMo to keep the writing projects going through the summer.
You may be familiar with NaNoWriMo -- where people around the world spend the month of November crafting a novel. Camp NaNoWriMo is similar … but different.
Camp NaNoWriMo is a virtual camp, where participants sign on and ‘join a cabin’ to get support from friends -- and provide support to them -- for individual writing projects.
You could rework your novel from November … write a brand-new novel … create some short stories … dabble in poetry … whatever your heart desires. The camp encourages you to complete a writing project in a month, allows you to track your progress, and offers online support in your efforts.
Gateway Writing Project also offers their support by setting up write-ins around the St. Louis area during the two Camps, which take place during the months of April and July. The GWP write-ins are from 1:00 - 4:00, and you can attend as many as you’d like. At a GWP write-in you’ll get help with your writing if you need it, tips on writing, inspiration, and -- most importantly -- time to write in the company of fellow writers. Oh, and cookies.
GWP write-ins to support your Camp NaNoWriMo projects. Check out our flyer for more information.
