Significant Points

* Plasterers are projected to be one of the fastest growing occupations in construction trades, increasing about as fast as the average for all occupations.

* As it was one time supplanted by drywall construction, plaster is regaining populatity because of its durability, finish, and fire-retardant qualities.

* Plastering usually is learned on the job, either through a formal apprenticeship program or by working as a helper.
