UMSL is home to public radio station KWMU (90.7 FM). The station is recognized as a distinctive and vital media source that strengthens the civic and cultural life of the communities it serves. KWMU aims to be a trusted source of information and entertainment.
The award-winning station was founded in 1972 and has a 100,000-watt signal reaching more than 2.4 million people in the St. Louis region. With programming including everything from commentaries to jazz, KWMU provides in-depth news and intelligent talk to St. Louis area listeners.
Join with more than 12,000 members of the Friends of KWMU: friends who help to ensure the high quality and integrity of public radio in the St. Louis area. Memberships are the single largest and most dependable source of funding for KWMU, providing half of the station's annual operating budget.
