University Development

Corporate Partnerships Program

In order to meet the needs of our community and students, the University of Missouri-St. Louis is eager to establish strategic partnerships with corporations and create mutually beneficial relationships. Internships, employee recruitment, applied research, alumni partnerships and continuing education programs are just a few ways this goal can be accomplished.

Corporations also may invest in the university's growth by providing philanthropic support for student scholarships and fellowships, academic and outreach programs, plus facility enhancements and endowments. Through our corporate partnership program, companies gain access to a talented, well-rounded and hard working student body, and our students benefit through engaged learning and enhanced opportunities for success.

How Corporations Can Help UMSL

Student Aid and Programmatic Support
Corporate support for UMSL students is highly valued. Multi-year pledges or endowed gifts provide assistance for undergraduate or graduate students. Named scholarships, fellowships and programmatic support reflect a corporation’s interest in nurturing a well-educated work force, and create links between corporate donors and student recipients.

Facility Enhancement
In order to provide the best learning environment for our students, the university must consistently update its physical plant and equipment. This is an expensive challenge and one that increasingly relies on private support. An investment in capital enhancements ensures that teaching and research facilities are available and can provide substantial recognition for corporate supporters.

Endowments
Endowments are forever, and with a minimum gift of $10,000, a corporation can create an endowment to support the mission of the university in perpetuity. Scholarships may be endowed for $30,000 and named professorships require a gift of $1.1 million.

Matching Gifts
UMSL is grateful to companies that provide financial support through employee gift matching programs. These programs not only increase the financial benefits to the university, but also generate corporate support that mirrors the interest and commitment of employees.

In-Kind Gifts
Furnishing laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment or software ensures our students the best opportunities for hands-on, real-world learning.

Sponsorships
Underwriting university programs, conferences and seminars is a great way to create visibility on campus and in the community.
