The Whitney R. Harris World Ecology Center is a world-renowned center for the study of tropical ecology and conservation. The Center preserves tropical and temperate ecosystems worldwide while educating the next generation of ecologists at a time when the conservation and wise use of natural resources is of paramount importance.
The center is the nation's largest and most diverse program in biology conservation. In cooperation with the Saint Louis Zoo and Missouri Botanical Garden, students and faculty enhance scientific exchanges, perform exciting research and promote awareness of conservation issues.
