The School of Social Work is strongly committed to providing accessible, affordable, high quality social work degree programs at the bachelor's and master's levels to a diverse student body. Faculty and students pursue research to improve social work knowledge and provide community service activities that enhance the welfare of people in the St. Louis region and beyond.
The rapidly growing School of Social Work is housed in the College of Arts and Sciences. In the school's relatively brief history, faculty members have gained national and international reputations in social and economic development, child welfare and treatment of addictive behaviors. In addition to bachelor's and master's degrees, the school also offers four certificate programs.
From study abroad programs to Social Work Student Association monthly projects, the school provides opportunities that enhance the academic experience in addition to providing much-needed community service. These enrichment opportunities are often funded through annual and scholarship support from alumni and friends.
