The College of Fine Arts and Communication is distinguished by its collaboration with community cultural institutions, much to the benefit of students and faculty at UMSL. The faculty and alumni have distinguished themselves as scholars, visual artists, teachers and performers.
The college serves as the campus center for creativity, and it offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs in art history, studio art, theatre and dance, music, media studies and communication. The college also recently announced two new academic programs-a bachelor of science degree in media studies and a graduate certificate in non-profit arts management.
