UMSL hosts a campus orientation for new part-time faculty before each term begins. Orientations are designed to introduce (1) campus offices which support faculty and students; (2) supports for teaching and learning including integrating technology into courses; (3) strategies for observing policies and procedures related to academic honesty, student retention, respect, and safety.

Please inform us of new hires so that each receives a personal invitation from the Provost. Invitations are sent to all new full-time faculty members, tenure-track and non-tenure track. This two-day program acquaints new colleagues with UMSL policies and procedures, resources for technology, teaching, and research, and support services for faculty, staff, and students. Reminder: The CTL counts on Deans’ offices to convey the names and contact information (home, professional, and email addresses) of new full-time NTT faculty members.
