The Focus on Teaching and Technology Conference offers an ensemble of keynote addresses, faculty innovations during concurrent sessions, technology workshops, and vendor exhibits. The conference program has evolved over the years to reflect emerging trends in technology applications in higher education and developing shared expertise in online teaching experiences and strategies.

Social Sciences and Business Building
Offered annually, the GSC is a two-day professional development conference for all graduate students. A joint effort of the Center for Teaching & Learning and the Graduate School, the GSC provides workshop, networking, orientation, resource, and development opportunities for every level of grad student, across all disciplines. Specialized sessions for students whose graduate assistant duties include teaching and research address the needs of both beginning and more experienced TAs and RAs. All sessions are offered in three concurrent tracks: Surviving & Thriving in Grad School, Professional Development, and Teaching & Learning.

Every spring, the Center for Teaching and Learning offers a one-day conference on teaching and learning open only to UMSL faculty and staff. It is designed to highlight some of the innovative and respected teaching happening here at our university and to bring in external parties that may help with educational projects. In the past, representatives from Apple, Pearson, McGraw-Hill, and Cengage have presented educational solutions.
