Monthly UM-St. Louis Meeting Topics (as of 9/1/06)
New Faculty Teaching Scholars convene monthly for presentations and discussions on topics related to teaching and learning and academic success at UM-St. Louis. The meetings offer an opportunity to share information, to meet with senior faculty, and to provide a time and space for networking and collegiality.

Keynote speaker is Chris Jernstedt, Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Dartmouth College.
Attend his Thursday 3:00 PM plenary, The Neurological Foundations of Learning: Appreciating the Uniqueness and Power of the Brain. Jernstedt’s Friday presentations include The Cognitive Foundations of Learning and The Evaluative Foundations of Learning.  These topics anchor 2 days of presentations by colleagues from campuses across the region.
