Distance education has always relied upon the latest technology to cross the distance between campus and the remote learner. Historically, you will find that credit and non-credit distance education has usually been the first campus activity to jump on the latest technology bandwagon. Many distance education instructional designers have seen a long line of outreach technologies come and go, while learning and adapting their methodology and experience to each new medium. One person can't do it all. It's necessary to know what support is available at your institution and where you can go for help.
