Supplemental Instruction is a voluntary academic assistance program that uses peer-led group study to help students succeed. SI group study sessions are facilitated by SI Leaders, who are peer students who have previously completed the course and demonstrated competency. Each week the SI Leader will hold study sessions on campus during which students can clarify lecture notes, review textbook readings and discuss key course concepts. SI also provides an opportunity for students to develop effective study skills, including time management and organization skills. Each student enrolled in a SI supported course will find in their MyGateway account, "siLearn(with Course Title)", where students can find extra help and 24/7 access to their SI Leader.
