Center for Student Success

Midterm Grades

The Center for Student Success works closely with a number of students during the semester to monitor their academic progress and to assist them in improving their performance in coursework. Regular meetings are scheduled between a student and a specific Student Development Coordinator in the Center. Midterm grades and instructors' comments will be shared with the student by their assigned Coordinator at a scheduled one-on-one meeting

Midterm grades provide a current assessment of the student's standing in their courses. The Coordinators in the Center will use this information to affirm what has worked well for the student and/or consider strategies to improve their academic performance.

Submission of Midterm Grades is time sensitive and may be done only during a designated time span each semester. Instructors that have student(s) enrolled in class(es) from specific targeted student populations will receive an e-mail asking them to submit Midterm Grades via the Academic Alert system.

To access the Midterm Assessment Report, click here. (Please note that you can also get to the academic alert system through MyGateway. It is located in the "Faculty Toolbox" under the "Faculty/Staff" tab.)
Courses you are teaching will be listed first, followed by the Midterm Assessment Report.

Student names will appear in alphabetical order by course number. Please submit a midterm grade for each student listed.

A "Notes" box is also available for each student and the appropriate box is below the student's name. Please include any pertinent observations or suggestions that may assist the Student Development Coordinator in the Center for Student Success who is working with this student.

A "Delete this Comment" message appears after a comment is submitted and you may use this option as needed.

To submit your midterm grades and/or comments, please click the "Save All" button that appears at the start and end of your Midterm Assessment List. Failure to do so will not update any data that you have entered. You may edit information (grades and/or comments) for the Midterm Assessment Report during the designated time frame only.

If you have questions or problems, please contact us.
