FIVE DAYS IN MARCH
Play by Toshiki Okada
?Set in Japan in the days before the U.S. began its war and official bombing of Iraq in March 2003, the play tells the story of two urban hipsters who meet at a post-rock show and then get swept up into a one-night stand that turns into five days of continuous sex. Unaware of the imminent invasion being launched outside, the youngsters obsess over the details of a love affair, perfectly capturing the irony and impotency of youth culture in Japan today.

DENIS CUNIOT: KLEZMER PIANO
Rare are the artists that give us the secrets to their work... Denis Cuniot is a piano genius, in the vein of the lively and
moving Klezmer, who keeps alive these melodies’ popular histories, be they somber or romantic. Klezmer means “the instrument of the voice”, and here the piano does not replace the orchestra, but lends itself to chants, rhythm, and counterpoints–truly, to polyphony.
Cosponsored with Alliance Francais-US, Alliance Francais de Saint Louis and St. Louis - Lyon Sister Cities
