2016 Entry form

Three categories to choose from: artwork, essay, and website

Three scholarship prizes for each category: $2000 - first place, $1000 - second place, and $500 - third place

All artwork, essays, and websites must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016

Artwork entries:

Purpose: Entries in the artwork competition should draw attention to and promote the celebration of United Nations Day as a world holiday.

Criteria: Artwork will be judged on the following:

How to enter: Artwork must be submitted with a separate 3" x 5" index card containing the name, address, telephone, email address and student identification number of the submitting student. Artwork submissions must also be accompanied by an official entry form.

Essay entries:

Purpose: Entries in the essay competition should drawa attention to the UN, its history, its mission, and its role in the world.

Criteria: Essays will be judged on the following:

How to enter: A submission in the essay category may be submitted as a PDF document to enochj@umsl.edu. All essays should include a separate cover page containing the name, address, telephone, email address and student identification number of the submitting student. All entries must be accompanied by an official entry form

Website Design entries: 

Purpose: Entries in the website design competition should inform and educate the audience about United Nations Day.

Criteria: Websites will be judged on the following:

How to enter: A submission in the webpage design category must be submitted through the official entry form. When you fill out the official entry form, it will ask you for the weblink.

Each category must have a minimum of three submissions for judging to proceed. Once the minimum number of submissions is received, each category will be judged by a separate panel of three judges. If fewer than three submissions are received for any category, the judges for that category may award prizes to any entries deemed worthy of recognition.

The winners will be announced to all entrants via email and social media after judging for all categories has been completed - October 24, 2016. 

You will need to fill out a separate entry form for each entry, up to three entries, one for each category. If you are submitting in all three categories, then you will need to fill out three entry forms - one for each category.
