Stuart
Vogt is the third UMSL swimmer inducted this year. Vogt was a six-time
All-American, earning those honors in the 1988 and 1989 seasons,
qualifying for the national tournament in both years. In 1988, he
finished second in the national championships in two events, the
50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle to earn two All-American
honors. He also placed seventh in the 100-yard butterfly that season
for a third All-American honor. In 1989, he again went to the national
championships and was again a three-time All-American, placing third
in the 100-yard freestyle, fourth in the 50-yard freestyle and 13th
in the 100-yard butterfly. Vogt holds three school records, in the
50-yard, 100-yard and 200-yard freestyle events, setting each in
the 1988 season. He was also a part of the 800-yard freestyle relay
team that holds the school record as well. |
