Andy Runzi was a two-time All-Conference, All-Region and All-American selection as a pitcher, earning those honors in 1992 and again in 1993. He currently holds the UMSL career wins record with 20 victories and the record for innings pitched with 232.

Runzi twice struck out a career-high 11 batters in a game and ranks fourth in career strikeouts with 166. Runzi also holds the UMSL record with nine career shutouts, including four in one season.
