Ron Edgar - Baseball

Ron Edgar was a two-year letterwinner on the baseball team in 1971 and 1972, and was named an All-American selection in 1972. He compiled a career batting average of .340 and was second on the team in hitting both seasons, hitting .314 in 1971 and .363 the following year. In 1971, he led the team in hits, doubles, triples, home runs and RBI while finishing third in runs scored. In 1972, he was first on the team in runs scored and doubles, and second on the team in hits and RBI. For his career, he averaged better than a hit per game with 64 total hits in 59 games, including 37 hits in 29 games during the 1972 season.
