UMSL Gets First Win of the Season Riverwomen Beat Saint Joseph's; Fall to Lewis The Missouri-St. Louis women’s tennis got their first win of the season, defeating Saint Joseph's College 6-2 Saturday morning. The Riverwomen then lost a 9-0 match at Lewis on Saturday afternoon. Against the Pumas, UMSL got victories at one and two doubles for an early lead in the match. Krissy Howard (Gilette, Wyo./Campbell County) then got an easy 6-1, 6-1 win at two singles and Devin Foy (Belleville, Ill./Belleville East) got a 6-3, 6-0 win at three singles. Lauren Daugherty (Ft. Worth, Texas/Brewer) added a win at four singles and Christy Bronson (Jacksonville, Ill./Jacksonville) got a win at five singles to round out the match. In the afternoon match against Lewis, UMSL dropped all nine matches in the loss. UMSL is now 1-5 on the season and 1-5 in the GLVC. The Riverwomen will be at home this weekend when they host Kentucky Wesleyan on Friday and Southern Indiana on Saturday. RECAP Lewis
