UMSL Adds to Roster for 2006 Season

St. Louis, Mo. – The Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team has added some newcomers to this year's team. UM-St. Louis has added freshman Megan Walker (Springfield, Tenn./Goodpasture) and Lauren Hampton (Olathe, Kan./DeSoto), and sophomore and Division I transfer Christy Trame (Highland, Ill./Highland) for the 2006 season.

Walker is a freshman middle hitter who is an experienced club player and an athletic attacker as well as blocker. Academically she was in the top ten-percent of her graduating class and will be studying engineering. Hampton is an outside hitter who played for the KC Jazz Club team who will add depth and consistency to the outside hitting position. A business major, she was in the top 25% of her graduating class. Trame will give UMSL an offensive and defensive presence at the net as a middle hitter. She recorded 111 total blocks and 237 kills last year at Indiana State and will be majoring in nursing.
