| UMSL Flys Past Hawks in Three Quincy, Ill. – The UMSL volleyball team ended their string of five-game matches, using just three games to sweep Quincy in a 3-0 win. UMSL won 30-15, 30-22, 30-28 against the Hawks to get back on a winning streak and ended a string of four straight matches that went five games. UMSL dominated the first game, winning 30-15, making just three hitting errors and forcing the Hawks into 16 errors in that game to take control early. UMSL then recorded 13 kills in the second game and 10 kills in the third game, winning 30-22 and 30-28. Christy Trame led UM-St. Louis with 14 kills in the match and recorded five total blocks. Lisa Brinker had 25 assists and Joslyn Brown led the team with 17 digs. UMSL capitalized on nine total team blocks and six service aces in the win as well. UMSL improves to 5-8 on the season and is now 2-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. UMSL will be on the road this weekend to play at SIU Edwardsville on Friday and at Southern Indiana on Saturday.
