| UMSL Splits Weekend Road Matches The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team split a pair of road conference matches this past weekend, falling 3-2 at Lewis and winning 3-0 at Wisconsin-Parkside. UMSL got a 3-0 win at Wisconsin-Parkside on Saturday to finish off the weekend trip, winning 30-26, 30-25, 30-22. UMSL won the second game by recording 21 team kills after recording 17 in the first game. UM-St. Louis played strong at the net as well, recording 10 team blocks in the match. Christy Trame led UMSL with 14 kills on the night and Erin Denton added 12 kills. Lisa Brinker had 49 assists and Claudia Medina led the team with 18 digs. On Friday night, UM-St. Louis lost in five games against Lewis for the second time this season. After dropping the first game, UMSL came back to win games two and three. Lewis came back to win game four and took the fifth game for the 3-2 win. UMSL was led in that game by Christy Trame with 16 kills and Erin Denton had 13. Lisa Brinker had 48 assists and Joslyn Brown had a team high 20 digs. UMSL is now 8-13 overall on the season and and is 5-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. UM-St. Louis will home this upcoming weekend when they host Drury on Friday night at 7 pm, and then host Rockhurst on Saturday at 2 pm.
