UMSL Ends Road Stretch with Loss at Drury

Springfield, Mo. – The UMSL volleyball team finished a tough stretch of road matcheswith a loss at Drury on Tuesday night. It was the sixth-straight match on the road for UM-St. Louis, which feel in three games, 30-25, 30-28, 30-27 to the Panthers.

UMSL dropped the first game 30-25, despite committing just five hitting errors in the game. UM-St. Louis then came two points short in the second game, losing 30-28 before falling by three points in the third game. Christy Trame had a match high 18 kills on the night with just four hitting errors and recorded seven total blocks. Claudia Medina had 12 kills on the night as UMSL had a .205 hitting percentage as a team. Lisa Brinker had 38 assists and Joslyn Brown led the team with 11 digs.

UM-St. Louis falls to 5-11 on the season and 2-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. After a long stretch of six straight road matches, UMSL will return home this weekend when they host Bellarmine on Friday night at 7 pm, and then host Northern Kentucky on Saturday at 2 pm.
