UMSL Falls to Rockhurst, Drury UMSL Comes up Short Against Panthers The Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team dropped two conference matches over the weekend, falling 3-0 at 22nd-ranked Rockhurst on Friday night, then came up just short in a 3-0 loss at Drury on Saturday. On Friday night, Rockhurst took all three games from UMSL, winning 30-22, 30-15, 30-13. Chelsea Baumstark (Hermann, Mo./Hermann) and Heather Nichols (Black Earth, Wis./Edgewood) both had seven kills to lead UMSL, and Claudia Medina (Las Cruces, N.M./Las Cruces) and Joslyn Brown (Plainfield, Ill./Joliet Catholic) each had 12 digs in the loss. At Drury, UMSL lost 3-0 in a match where all three games were close as the Panthers won 30-26, 30-27, 30-27. Sarah Eisnaugle (Newark, Ill./Newark) led the Riverwomen with 10 kills and added a team best six blocks in the match. Heather Nichols and Claudia Medina each added eight kills while Joslyn Brown had 18 digs and Lisa Brinker (Washington, Mo./Washington) had a team high with 35 assists. UMSL is now 3-16 on the season and 3-5 in the GLVC. The Riverwomen will be home next weekend when they host Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday night and then host Lewis on Saturday afternoon at 1 pm.
