UMSL Stings Harris Stowe UMSL Wins in Three Straight Against Hornets St. Louis, Mo. – The Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team dominated the match against Harris Stowe on Wednesday night, winning 3-0 (30-15, 30-26, 30-12) in the home opener for UMSL. Claudia Medina (Las Cruces, N.M./Las Cruces) led the way with nine kills, six digs and added four services aces in the match as the Riverwomen tallied a total of 13 services aces in the match. UMSL dominated the opening game, winning 30-15, riding the serves of Medina through most of the game. Medina recorded three straight service aces at one point in that first game. Harris Stowe fought back in the second game and kept it close as the Riverwomen held on for the 30-26 win. UMSL then cruised in the third game, using a 19-5 run to win the final game 30-12. Heather Nichols (Black Earth, Wis./Edgewood) had eight kills and six digs, Daria Sak (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) had 11 digs and Ashley Richmond (Milford, Ohio/Milford) led the team with 31 assists. UMSL improves to 3-1 on the season with
the win and will travel on Friday night to play at Drury University

as Drury will join the conference next season.
