Cougars Beat Riverwomen in Three Games

UMSL Falls 3-0 at SIUE

Edwardsville, Ill. – The UMSL volleyball team was beaten in three straight games by SIU Edwardsville in a confernece match on Wednesday night. The Riverwomen fell in three quick games, losing 30-19, 30-26, 30-18 to the Cougars.

UMSL was led by Gillian Falknor (Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Groves) with nine kills on the night and Kathryn Freeman (Goodyear, Ariz./Centennial) had eight kills for the Riverwomen. UMSL had 29 kills as a team and SIUE had 51 in the match as the Cougars had a team hitting percentage of .316 compared to UMSL's .125.

The Riverwomen fall to 6-10 on the season and 3-5 in the GLVC. UMSL will have this weekend off before hosting Saint Joseph's and Indianapolis next weekend.
