UMSL Drops Two Matches Over the Weekend

Riverwomen Fall to Indianapolis, Saint Joseph's

The UMSL volleyball team suffered two setbacks over the weekend, falling 3-0 at Indianapolis and 3-2 at Saint Joseph's.

Indianapolis won all three games against the Riverwomen, winning by scores of 30-25, 30-23, and 30-21. Nikki Pagels (Fox River Grove, Ill./Cary Grove) led UMSL with nine kills and Kathryn Freeman (Goodyear, Ariz./Centennial) had five kills and three solo blocks.

Against Saint Joseph's, UMSL won the first two games, but the Pumas came back and won the last three games to take the match. Saint Joseph's won by scores of 25,30, 25-30, 30-25, 30-27, 15-8.

UMSL is now 11-9 on the season and falls to 2-5 in the GLVC.
