| UMSL Stumbles at SIUE Riverwomen Lose 3-1 to Cougars Edwardsville, Ill. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team dropped a 3-1 match at SIU Edwardsville on Wednesday night. The Riverwomen got the early lead by winning the first game, but then dropped the next three to loss the match 20-30, 30-24, 30-28, 30-27. UMSL was led by Kathryn Freeman (Goodyear, Ariz./Centennial) with 15 kills in the match. Melissa Frost (Cincinnati, Ohio/McNicholas) added 13 kills and five blocks in the loss and Nikki Pagels (Fox River Grove, Ill./Cary Grove) had 13 kills as well. UMSL
drops to 12-13 on the season and 3-9 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
The Riverwomen have to regular season matches remaining with a Friday
match at Kentucky Wesleyan and a Saturday match at Southern Indiana.
UMSL needs some help to reach the conference tournament, as UMSL would
have to win its two remaining games and have Saint Joseph's lose their
two remaining games to qualify.
