UMSL Stumbles at Quincy

Riverwomen Fall 3-0 to Hawks

Quincy, Ill. – The UMSL volleyball team stumbled in a conference matchup at Quincy over the weekend. The Riverwomen fell 3-0 (30-19, 30-25, 30-18) to the Lady Hawks, the second time Quincy has beaten UMSL this year.

UMSL was its own worst enemy for much of the match, recording 25 hitting errors compared to 31 kills for a team hitting percentage of .061. Conversley, Quincy had a team hitting percentage of .320 with 44 kills and 12 errors. Nikki Pagels (Fox River Grove, Ill./Cary Grove) led the Riverwomen with nine kills in the match.

The Riverwomen are now 10-7 on the season and fall to 1-3 in the GLVC. UMSL will be at home this week when they host SIU Edwardsville on Wednesday night at 7 pm.
