Lam Breaks School Career Win Record in UMSL Victory

UMSL men's tennis player Francis Lam set a new school record for most career singles wins, recording a 6-0, 6-3 win in his singles match as UMSL defeated McKendree 6-0. With the win, Lam recorded his 52nd career singles victory at UMSL, breaking the record of 51 set by Matt Vaulkhard from 2000-04.

With his singles win, Lam improves to 18-8 in singles matches this season, and now has a career record of 52-30. In addition to Lam's win, UMSL got singles wins from Andreas Dimke at win singles, winning 6-3, 6-4, and Pete Hantack recorded a 6-2, 6-3 win at four singles. The Rivermen swept all three doubles matches in the win as well. Lam and Boris Simic teamed up for an 8-5 win at one doubles, and Hantack and Ryan Burgdorfer had an 8-5 win at two doubles. Dimke and Andre Chemas recorded a win at three doubles with an 8-2 victory.

The Rivermen will have a week off before traveling to play at the GLVC Tournament next weekend
