UMSL Tennis Earns Regional Rankings After Fall Season

The UMSL men's tennis team earned some team and individual regional rankings after the fall season as ranked by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

Individually, UMSL's Francis Lam was ranked fifth in the region as a singles player, and Andres Dimke was ranked 12th in the region. Lam went 7-4 in singles matches during the fall, and advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA Fall Regional tournamet this past fall. He is a two-time Great Lakes Valley All-Conference selection and has 41 career wins in singles matches at UMSL. Dimke is in his first year with the Rivermen, and went 4-2 in singles matches during the fall season and advanced to the final 16 in the ITA Fall Regional tournament.

In the doubles rankings, UMSL's Francis Lam and Boris Simic are ranked as the fourth best doubles team in the region. The two combined for a 6-5 record during the fall season and advanced to the semifinals at the ITA Fall Regional tournament. As a team, UMSL is ranked 10th in the region heading into the spring season, and is ranked as the fifth best team from the GLVC.
