Dimke Receives Regional Recognition by ITA

St. Louis, Mo. - UMSL freshman Andreas Dimke received regional recognition by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association after an award winning freshman campaign.

Dimke was listed as the Great Lakes Region Player to Watch by the ITA. Dimke was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Freshman of the Year and earned GLVC All-Conference honors. He played the number one singles spot for UMSL in his first season, compiling a record of 15-8, including a 10-5 mark at the one singles spot. He went 12-8 in doubles matches on the year, including a 4-1 mark in conference doubles matches.

The ITA administers a comprehensive awards program to honor and recognize men's and women's collegiate tennis players in all divisions. Included in that awards program is a Player to Watch from each of the eight Division II regions.
