UMSL Announces Tennis Signees Men's and Women's Tennis Adds Players for Upcoming Year St. Louis, Mo. – UMSL head mean’s and women’s tennis coach Rick Gyllenborg has announced the newcomers for the Missouri-St. Louis men’s and women’s tennis teams for the upcoming school year, including local recruits for both the men’s and women’s tennis team. The UMSL women’s tennis team signed Molly Striler (St. Louis, Mo./MICDS) to play for the Riverwomen this upcoming school year. Striler, who will be a freshman in eligibility, was a member of the 2002 state championship team at MICDS and was a part of the team that went to the state quarterfinals the following year. On the men’s side, the Rivermen signed Peter Hantack (St. Peters, Mo./Fort Zumwalt South) to play for UMSL this season. Hantack was part of the Bulldogs team that went to the state tournament each of the past two seasons and advanced to the quarterfinals last year. The men’s team also added James Rigby (Ottawa, Ontario), and transfer student from the University of Ottawa. The women’s team added two additional players as well. Sara Davidson (LaSalle, Ontario) and Adriana Garcia (San Luis Potosi, Mexico) both signed to play at UMSL and will be incoming freshman this season. Both
tennis teams will get their seasons started this fall during an alumni
match for the dedication of the new UMSL tennis courts. That event will
take place on Saturday, September 10, at 10 am.
